The Bosnian Cultural Centre-Midlands (BCCM) is a registered company and charity organization. It was established in 2003 and seeks to provide practical and psychological support for people from a Bosnian ethnic background. It provides a number of social and cultural activities including a women's club, care for the elderly and disabled, supplementary schools, community events, children's activities and the Bosniak Newsletter. The Bosnian Cultural Centre-Midlands brings together Bosnians who live in the Midlands including Birmingham and Coventry .

Outreach officer of the Britain my new home project, Hazim Fazlic, has given today a presentation under the title From Bosnia to Britain – conflict and post-conflict experience. The presentation has been given at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow as a part of conference ‘Reconsidering conflict, terror and resolution. Part of his presentation, which is based on an oral history project Britain my new home – stories of Bosnian survivors funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, can be downloaded here.

Volunteers of Bosnian Cultural Centre – Midlands have so far visited and interviewed more than fifty people of the Bosnian background across Britain. The valuable data we have obtained from our interviewees will be soon published in a form of a book as a testimony of our generation. Our recent visits include interview with Elvedin in Darby, Nesad in London and Mirsad in Birmingham. Their stories have been video recorded to form a DVD presentation at the end of the project.
